Emergency Services

24/7/365 care is available through our emergency department. Newly renovated in 2017, the first phase is now open with Phase II and Phase III coming online by January 2018. The $2.3-million renovation is funded in part from hospital reserves and in part from generous donations from people who want to see the best care in Gouverneur. If you would like to donate,

Emergency medical and nursing personnel provide quick and accurate triage: the most critically injured or ill patients are seen first. A medical evaluation follows strict standards of care: the decision to treat, admit, or transfer depends on many factors and it is a decision that is always made with the patient's well-being at the forefront.
